My notion for motion

I am a Mensendieck Exercise Therapist, an Instructor of Essentrics Dance, Pilates and Yoga, and a Masseur. As an exercise therapist, my expertise is the treatment of pregnancy-related pain and discomfort, pelvic instability, dance injuries and corporate exercise therapy (workplace consultation).

To do this, I have completed the following education:
2014 Mensendieck Exercise Therapy, Bachelor of Science & Health, HvA.
2010-2014 Essentrics Instructor Training L1-4
2009 Intensive Course Choreography & Dance Instructor at the Theaterschool, Amsterdam
2008 Peak Pilates Mat, Maastricht

After graduating, I spent a few years gaining experience in different practices and organisations. In 2017, I began my own practice in Amsterdam Oud-Zuid.
With the birth of my daughter in 2015, I began to focus on providing the best possible support to women during pregnancy and for recovery after giving birth. The result is that I now provide prenatal and postnatal classes and courses, but also individual guidance on location and massages.

Before I became an exercise therapist, I worked for international companies. I combined this with giving classes in movement. Eventually I made the conscious choice to change careers because I realised how satisfying it was to be contributing to the (physical) wellbeing of others. That is ‘my notion for motion’.
